I am a South African musician and record maker currently based in Paris, France. I moved to the city in 2020 with a pair of speakers and wide eyes, excited to create, learn and explore.
I've been making music since I was little, playing piano, saxophone and guitar. As a teenager, I formed the indie rock group Early Hours whilst growing up in Cape Town. After a string of Top 10 singles on South African radio, we spent several years touring internationally before taking a hiatus in 2018.
I moved to the UK to study Sound Technology at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and soon after I started working as an assistant at Eve Studios - a haven for rare radiophonic equipment and experimental recording techniques. Eve became a second home to me and I learned a great deal there from seasoned engineers including Jim Spencer, Johnny Marr and the studio's owner Martin King.
Currently working as a freelance engineer and musician in France, I spend most of my time developing new artists and musical works, although I also frequently work with Mix With The Masters where I contribute to various projects. My process is built on collaboration and movement, and I wear a lot of different hats along the way. Whether it's performing, arranging, recording or mixing, I approach every project with an open mind and a light touch. If you are reading this and you like to make things too, I would love to hear from you!
